"As far as we can discern, the sole purpose of human existence is to kindle a light of meaning in the darkness of mere being." ~Carl Jung
"Shamanism is not a religion, it’s a set of techniques, and the principal technique is the use of psychedelic plants. What psychedelics do is they dissolve boundaries, and in the presence of dissolved boundaries, one cannot continue to close one’s eyes to the ruination of the earth, the poisoning of the seas, and the consequences of two thousand years of unchallenged dominator culture, based on monotheism, hatred of nature, suppression of the female, and so forth and so on." ~Terence McKenna
Eternal Spirit ~ Earth-maker, Pain-bearer, Life-giver ~
source of all that is and that shall be, Father and Mother of us all.
Loving God, in whom is heaven.
The hallowing of your name echoes through the universe!

“The eye with which I see God is the eye with which God sees me.
~Meister Eckhart
"I believe in God, only I spell it Nature."~Frank Lloyd Wright
"We are the ones we have been waiting for."~Hopi Native American Prophecy
“To be shaken out of the ruts of ordinary perception, to be shown for a few timeless hours the outer and inner world, not as they appear to an animal obsessed with survival or to a human being obsessed with words and notions, but as they are apprehended, directly and unconditionally… this is an experience of inestimable value to everyone...""Never give children a chance of imagining that anything exists in isolation. Make it plain from the very beginning that all living is relationship. Show them relationships in the woods, in the fields, in the ponds and streams, in the village and in the country around it. Rub it in."~Aldous Huxley
"The Cosmic Schmuck Principle holds that if you don't wake up, once a month at least, and realize that you have been acting like a Cosmic Schmuck again then you will probably go on acting like a cosmic schmuck forever; but if you do, occasionally, recognize your Cosmic Schmuckiness, then you might begin to become a little less Schmucky than the general human average at this primitive stage of terrestrial evolution.""You Cannot Say Anything About Everything, Just As Much As You Cannot Say Everything About Anything." ~ Robert Anton Wilson
"The war on drugs is really a war against personal freedom, try to keep that in mind at all times, thank you very much.""Listen, the next revolution is gonna be a revolution of ideas.""We all pay for life with death, so everything in between should be free.""The drugs which make it possible for capitalism to function are cheap and freely available, and the drugs which erode dominator values..."~Bill Hicks
“I am 100 percent in favor of the intelligent use of drugs, and 1,000 percent against the thoughtless use of them, whether caffeine or LSD. And drugs are not central to my life.”"People use the word "natural"... What is natural to me is these botanical species which interact directly with the nervous system. What I consider artificial is 4 years at Harvard, and the Bible, and Saint Patrick's cathedral, and the sunday school teachings."~Timothy Leary
"The state should not, in the matter of drugs, any more than in the matter of sex, act as the secret agent for the agenda of the church...""The whole folderol and whoop-de-do about the 1960s was that the crypto-fascist bullshit agenda was damn near overthrown by a bunch of 19 and 20 year olds on campuses scattered around the high tech world. The male dominant agenda is so fragile that any competitor is felt as a deadly foe.""People have a right to get stoned. They have a right to think and explore their own minds. This is as intimate a part of their being as their sexuality. Any culture which mitigates that is clearly afraid of a full and fair and open dialogue about what reality is and what real human values ought to be."~Terence McKenna
"The war is being waged by a large number of unrelated interests, by millions of people, and it is being fought largely within the United States. It is the first full-scale instance of American citizens fighting American citizens in a battle fought on domestic soil in over a century. The last conflict of this size was the 1861 Civil War, or the War between the States, which consumed our energies and wealth, and destroyed so many of our youth in that four year period. But our present war has been underway now for well over a decade, and there is no victory in sight. The intensity and costs have been continuously increasing, and the suffering and damage from it is without precedent."~Alexander Shulgin
"Internationally, "the war on drugs" provides a cover for intervention. Domestically, it has little to do with drugs but a lot to do with distracting the population, increasing repression in the inner cities, and building support for the attack on civil liberties."~Noam Chomsky
"If the doors of perception were cleansed, everything would appear to man as it is, infinite. For man has closed himself up, 'till he sees all things through narrow chinks of his cavern'."~William Blake.
"A truly good book teaches me better than to read it. I must soon lay it down, and commence living on its hint. What I began by reading, I must finish by acting."~Henry David Thoreau
"Because the truth is that promoting science isn't just about providing resources -- it's about protecting free and open inquiry. It's about ensuring that facts and evidence are never twisted or obscured by politics or ideology." ~Unknown
"...we should be clear about what culture/civilization has in fact given us, and what it has taken away."~John Zerzan
"A human being, too, is many things. Whatever makes up the air, the earth, the herbs, the stones is also part of our bodies..."~Lame Deer
"If all the beasts were gone, man would die from loneliness of spirit, for whatever happens to the beast, happens to the man..."~Chief Seattle
"I can lose my hands, and still live. I can lose my legs and still live. I can lose my eyes and still live. I can lose my hair, eyebrows, nose, arms, and many other things and still live. But if I lose the air I die. If I lose the sun I die. If I lose the earth I die. If I lose the water I die. If I lose the plants and animals I die. All of these things are more a part of me, more essential to my every breath, than is my so-called body."~Unknown
"I have sworn upon the altar of God eternal hostility to every form of tyranny over the mind of man. That is why the clergy oppose me."~Thomas Jefferson
"None are more hopelessly enslaved than those who falsely believe they are free."~Johann Wolfgang von Goethe

"Neither fire nor wind, birth nor death can erase our good deeds."~Buddha
"A person starts to live when he can live outside himself.""Anyone who has never made a mistake has never tried anything new.""The world is a dangerous place, not because those who do evil, but because of those who look on and do nothing."~Albert Einstein
"The work is done, but how no one can see; 'Tis this that makes the power not cease to be."~Lao-Tzu
"Inability to accept the mystic experience is more than an intellectual handicap, lack of awareness of the basic unity of organism and environment is a serious and dangerous hallucination."~Alan Watts
"If the world that we are forced to accept is false and nothing is true,
then everything is possible.
On the way to discovering what we love, we will find everything we hate,
everything that blocks our path to what we desire.
The comfort will never be comfortable for those who seek what is not on the market.
A systematic questioning of the idea of happiness.
We'll cut the vocal chords of every empowered speaker.
We'll yank the social symbols through the looking glass. We'll devalue society's currency.
To confront the familiar.
Society is a fraud so complete and venal...
that it demands to be destroyed beyond the power of memory to recall its existence.
Where there's fire, we will carry gasoline.
Interrupt the continuum of everyday experience...
and all the normal expectations that go with it.
To live as if something actually depended on one's actions.
To rupture the spell of the ideology of the commodified consumer society...
so that our oppressed desires of a more authentic nature can come forward.
To demonstrate the contrast between what life presently is and what it could be.
To immerse ourselves in the oblivion of actions and know we're making it happen.
There will be an intensity never before known in everyday life...
to exchange love and hate, life and death,
terror and redemption, repulsions and attractions.
An affirmation of freedom so reckless and unqualified,
that it amounts to a total denial of every kind of restraint and limitation."
"A thousand years is but an instant.
There's nothing new, nothing different. The same pattern over and over.
The same clouds, the same music,
the same insight felt an hour or an eternity ago.
There's nothing here for me now, nothing at all.
Now I remember. This happened to me before. This is why I left.
You have begun to find your answers.
Although it will seem difficult, the rewards will be great.
Exercise your human mind as thoroughly as possible,
knowing it is only an exercise.
Build beautiful artifacts, solve problems,
explore the secrets of the physical universe.
Savor the input from all the senses.
Feel the joy and sorrow, the laughter, the empathy, compassion...
and tote the emotional memory in your travel bag.
I remember where I came from and how I became a human.
Why I hung around. And now my final departure is scheduled.
This way out. Escaping velocity.
Not just eternity, but infinity."
"- Hey. - Hey.
You a dreamer?
Yeah.
I haven't seen too many of you around lately.
Things have been tough lately for dreamers.
They say dreaming's dead, that no one does it anymore.
It's not dead. It's just that it's been forgotten.
Removed from our language.
Nobody teaches it, so no one knows it exists.
The dreamer is banished to obscurity.
I'm trying to change all that, and I hope you are too.
By dreaming every day.
Dreaming with our hands and dreaming with our minds.
Our planet is facing the greatest problems it's ever faced. Ever.
So whatever you do, don't be bored.
This is absolutely the most exciting time we could have possibly hoped to be alive.
And things are just starting."~A Waking Life
Embrace the Unknown ... Fulfillment of Purpose
Knowing Our Purpose Reveals Our Direction
Knowing Our Direction Reveals Our Purpose
When you settle on a label, you loose your suppleness. You stiffen up and wait for the world to consume you. The answer moves. All is dynamic, including the answer. All is interdependent, mutually arising.
The state and the answer are simultaneous. Lose one, lose both. The organism, of which you are, changes. When it loses complexity and reduces to one, it has nothing to do but re-gain complexity.
Why seek happiness? When the quest only defines sadness! Breathe deep, or sit, for; "this is It!"
