Moving faster
Spit out a moment later
Free flowing again
Sound
Moving forward - sound identifies
It's soft now
Going up - or down
Which is it?
It's even colder now
Different atmosphere
Inhaling
It's cold
Lungs relieved
Take deep breaths
Something comes up
Rough sounds
Where's that coming from?
Throat burning, sore
It's me
Salty again
Still cold
Warmth
Curled up
The softness is back
More war

In Moments When we are InfiniteNow, in this moment,
in this room, overwhelming
me with urgency,
I see you, for who you are,
in complete wonder,
astonished, mesmerized,
choking on your words
and drowning in time,
or lack thereof,

and I feel you,
in the pit of my stomach,
in the back of my throat,
pressuring, pushing,
presenting feelings
I’ve never allowed
myself to feel before,
falling, like raindrops,
and landing in my eyes.

Reach for me, touch me,
make me believe in myself again,
Take me for more than this,
More than us, out of this world,
to the moon, to the sea,
Intense, in touch,
In acceptance and grandeur.

The Asphalt MelodyThe asphalt imbedded
Into my melody
Chorusing from in to out

He was continual
I was contrasting
A fight for the spotlight

With tempo of abundance
Sweet tire song humming
I sang of nothing but endurance

Delicate tender stroke of the handle
Rushing wind of the asphalt song
Whirling of the soprano

As my melody rested
The asphalt sang baritone
In a thud, it now leaves a mark

The audience witness
A moment in flat
A shrill of pain

A split of divine
The tune it sang
Came to an end

My head split with a beautiful parting gift
Pebbles of quiet but lasting memory
Sweet songs of pain.

Feathers and Bird BonesI am a bird
(of prey)
I spy you glittering
so tempting

D e l i c i o u s

I could dive down
and pluck you
unsuspecting
from the blue

D a n g e r o u s

You are a river fish
Your mouth is wide
and might have rows
of angry sharp teeth

D e v i o u s

The hypnotizing shimmer
is your golden armor
and I am naught but
feathers and bird bones

D e l i r i o u s

I am a bird
(not of prey)
You let me believe
I was
just long enough
to pull me under.

Ice Cream and IronHearts of iron in ice cream towers,
honeysuckle dreams in haunted bowers.
Binary-stars in anemic rebellion
lie in a fevered and heavenly vision.
Epileptic anathema,
beloved arrhythmia,
two-step to a sarcastic aria
of ice cream and iron.
